Thomas Adès Totentanz [Irish Premiere]

Thomas Adès conducts the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra for the Irish premiere of his epic vocal masterpiece Totentanz with international operatic superstars, the charismatic baritone Simon Keenlyside who has just finished playing Don Giovanni at the MET in New York, with celebrated Dutch mezzo-soprano Christianne Stotijn. The programme also features the premiere of Psychedelia, a new commission by Irish composer, Ed Bennett and Gerald Barry's Wiener Blut.

Pre-Concert Panel Discussion with Tom Service - Kevin Barry Recital Room, 6pm The Guardian and BBC music critic and presenter Tom Service leads a panel discussion with composers and musicians featured in New Music Dublin to include: Seán Clancy, Ed Bennett, John Godfrey (composer), Malachy Robinson and others.
